Democracy Needs Receipts
Project Sunrise
Tracking the authoritarian agenda — Project 2025 and beyond — with primary sources, archived citations, and cross-references to independent watchdogs.
For the people. Not the billionaires. Not the propagandists. Every claim sourced. Every link archived.
Our Mission
What Is Project Sunrise?
Project Sunrise is a transparency-first research platform for Americans who refuse to be propagandized. We track the authoritarian playbook — starting with Project 2025 — and we build the progressive counter-vision for when democracy prevails.
This isn't both-sides theater. The Heritage Foundation wrote a 922-page plan to dismantle civil rights, gut agencies, and consolidate executive power. We document every step with federal sources — and we cross-reference independent trackers so nothing slips through.
Evidence-Based Tracking
We document the authoritarian agenda — Project 2025 and beyond — with primary sources from federal registers, executive orders, and congressional records. No vibes. Receipts.
The Blueprint
When democracy wins, we need a plan. The Blueprint is our progressive legislative vision — healthcare, climate, voting rights, and institutional safeguards built to last.
Information Transparency
Every claim is sourced, archived, and verifiable. We link to Wayback Machine copies. We cross-reference independent trackers. If we can't prove it, we don't publish it.
Democracy for the People
Government should answer to voters — not billionaire donors, dark-money networks, or captured institutions. We track who benefits from every policy action.
Anti-Propaganda Stance
We don't parrot billionaire media narratives. We show you the documents, the votes, and the money. Think for yourself — we'll hand you the evidence.
Elite Accountability
Dark money, declassification demands, and Epstein-file transparency aren't conspiracy theories — they're democratic accountability. Power hides; sunlight exposes.
“The trillionaire class and their captured institutions want you confused, cynical, and checked out. Project Sunrise exists so you can see the agenda clearly, fight it with facts, and know exactly what to build when we win.”

Brennan Center for JusticeSchedule F Deep Dive
Schedule F reclassifies federal employees in 'policy-influencing' roles as at-will political appointees — removable without merit protections. CRS estimates potentially 50,000+ positions across agencies. OPM guidance (Jan 29, 2025) directed agencies to complete position inventories within 120 days.

What's Next
Upcoming and in-progress threats identified by tracker consensus across independent monitors. Status reflects current implementation stage.
Schedule F Expansion to 50,000+ Positions
OPM guidance and agency reclassifications could move tens of thousands of civil servants into at-will 'policy-influencing' roles, enabling mass firings without cause.
Statutory Agency Dismantling via Executive Action
Proposals to wind down USAID, ED, and CFPB functions through executive orders and RIFs — testing constitutional limits on congressional appropriations and agency mandates.
Federal Voting Law Preemption
DOJ Civil Rights Division policy shifts and proposed SAVE Act-style federal ID requirements could disenfranchise millions of eligible voters.
EPA Clean Air & Climate Rule Repeals
Pending rescissions of greenhouse gas standards, methane rules, and vehicle emissions targets align with Project 2025's energy deregulation chapter.
Birthright Citizenship Executive Order
EO attempting to end birthright citizenship faces multi-state litigation; outcome could redefine 14th Amendment interpretation by executive fiat.
Federal Workforce Reductions & Buyouts
Deferred resignation programs, probationary employee terminations, and DOGE-led agency audits threaten institutional knowledge and regulatory capacity.
The Blueprint
Evidence-based policy proposals with economic modeling, implementation pathways, and built-in safeguards against reversal.
Problem
21 million Americans lost affordable ACA coverage after subsidy expiration. Medicare Advantage overpayments drain $83B annually while 27 million remain uninsured and medical debt drives 500,000 bankruptcies per year.
Proposed Fix
Establish a single-payer national health insurance program covering all residents with no premiums, deductibles, or copays. Phase out private Medicare Advantage overpayments, negotiate drug prices centrally, and integrate long-term care into the benefit package.
Economic Impact
RAND analysis projects $450B in annual savings through administrative simplification and bulk purchasing. Average household healthcare costs drop $35,000/year. 2.1 million jobs transition with 5-year retraining guarantees.
Safeguards
- Constitutional amendment protecting universal healthcare as a right
