Mainstream outlets make mistakes and deserve scrutiny — but they also employ editors, corrections policies, and libel lawyers. What's called 'fake news' is often news someone doesn't like. The outlets that actually fabricate stories are the partisan blogs and foreign disinformation farms that the 'fake news' crowd shares without question. Skepticism is healthy; nihilism is a trap.
